ISLAMABAD: Condemning a recent deadly attack in Quetta that killed at least 61 people and injured dozens more, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar admitted that terror incidents only occur when there was a lapse of security or intelligence sharing.

“War against terrorism is not over and we must be alert to the possibility of any danger.”

“No one should be under any illusion that Pakistan was free from terrorists,” Nisar told the participants of the National Police Academy, Pakistan’s premier police training institution in Islamabad.

He said terrorists were now launching attacks from across the borders and so we had to remain ready.
