KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court of Karachi approved bail plea of MQM leader Amir Khan on Monday, ARY News reported.
The court approved the bail petition of Amir Khan and ordered his release on a bail amount of one million rupees.
Amir Khan was arrested during a raid at MQM headquarters Nine Zero in March this year.
Earlier, the defence counsel argued that the prosecution fails to prove its charges against his client.
The judge approved the bail plea of Amir Khan and ordered him to submit one million rupees bail amount.
The judge also observed that the accused being granted bail as the investigators failed to investigate the case properly.
The court also ordered the MQM leader not to leave the country.
MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and other party leaders were present during the hearing of the case.
